I don't think many people would say December in Chicago is the ideal time for portraits. I certainly wouldn't say it. The weather can be erratic and cold and sometimes rainy and mostly dark. It's just not the best, so I don't do many portraits as a result in the month of December. Casen and his family were the exception this year.
After a couple of tries to pick a decent date - the weather and my health consipiring about our plans - we met up on a cold, dreary December morning and much to my surprise and delight got some really great shots. It totally helped that Casen and his parents are some of the nicest people I've ever met. Real troopers, and really photogenic. Here are just a few of my favorites from our shoot.
