A few weeks ago I went home to visit my family in Michigan. I spent the weekend, which was the first weekend of summer, swimming in my parent's lake an seeing the faces of a lot of wonderful people I don't get to see often enough. I got to meet some new faces too.
I scheduled a shoot on Saturday morning with a co-worker of my mom's, and got to meet her adorable grandson, Logan, and his parents. I was afraid of the heat if we started too late in the day, so opted for an early morning session. Given the time difference in Michigan, that meant getting up at the equivalent of 6 a.m. Chicago time. It was early, but it was so worth it to capture this face.
This is Logan, he is nine-months-old and adorable. But you already knew that. Here are a few more of my favorite pics from Logan's shoot.
I love this picture so much. So, so much. Every kid needs a pic of them with their parents like this.
Logan is an expert at duck face. He was cracking me up with this.
And that's it. It pays to start early in the summer. We had such a good time, and I really hope to see Logan again on one of my next Michigan trips.
Do you live in Michigan? If so, don't forget about Amy Sayre Photography if you need photos. You totally need photos, right? :)
