I live very close to one of Chicago's forest preserves. It is my dog's favorite place in the whole city (maybe the whole world), so my husband and I walk him there often. Because of this, I am very familiar with the forest preserve and how great certain little spots in and around it are for photos. Whenever clients come to me uncertain of where to go, I throw it out as an option. Thankfully, my good friends and neighbors took me up on my suggestion. I think you'll be able to see why I always suggest this as a location based on the photos below. Then again it doesn't hurt that this was my main subject.
Oh Brecon. Those cheeks were made for photographing.
Super proud of this next photo. One of my favorites of 2013 for sure.
If these photos do not thoroughly convince you that the forest preserve is a great place for a photo shoot, then nothing can.
Also, while we were traipsing around, unbeknownst to me, Amber took this shot.
I clearly don't get all pretty for photo shoots. When there is a 90 percent chance that I'll be laying on the ground at some point, it doesn't seem worth it. Amber also had this very nice thing to say:
"This is what a hard working, dedicated photographer looks like! Trekking through the forest preserve with all her gear in 90 degree weather with a semi-cranky 1 year old and 2 sweaty parents. A pro through and through! Can't wait to see the pics!"
Amber, I am so glad I was able to take these pics for you. And thanks for taking me up on my location suggestion.
